What is it?

De-icer is a crucial substance used to prevent or remove ice and snow from various surfaces, primarily in the aviation and winter maintenance industries. There are two main types of de-icer: 

Runway De-Icer: Runway de-icer is used to maintain safe takeoffs and landings on airport runways, taxiways, and aprons. It helps prevent ice and snow buildup on these surfaces. 

Aircraft De-Icer: Aircraft de-icer is applied to aircraft before takeoff to remove or prevent the accumulation of ice and snow on the aircraft's surfaces, such as wings, tail, and fuselage. This ensures safe and smooth flight operations.
